Pre-Care
Before your treatmentArriving hydrated and with a clean scalp makes your blood draw easier and your treatment more comfortable.
- 7 days before
Stop taking blood-thinning supplements (like aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, or vitamin E) to help prevent bruising and extra swelling, unless required by your doctor.
- 3 days before
Drink plenty of water (at least 64 oz daily) to ensure you are well-hydrated for your blood draw.
- 24 hr before
Skip alcohol and avoid heavy caffeine, as both can dehydrate you and increase the risk of bruising.
- Day of treatment
Eat a light meal or snack before your appointment and drink plenty of water. Wash your hair with a simple shampoo and arrive with a clean, dry scalp free of hair products, dry shampoo, or fibers.

Post-Care
After your treatment- 24–48 hr
Immediate feeling : your scalp may feel slightly tender, tight, or warm, similar to a light sunburn or mild headache, for 24 to 48 hours.
- 12–24 hr
Washing your hair : wait at least 12 to 24 hours before washing your hair. When you do wash, use cool or lukewarm water with a mild, gentle shampoo. Avoid hot showers or scrubbing your scalp aggressively.
- 48 hr
Activities & heat : skip intense workouts, heavy sweating, saunas, hot tubs, and steam rooms for 48 hours post-treatment.
- 3–5 days
Hair products & styling : avoid hair dye, harsh chemical treatments, topical treatments (like Minoxidil/Rogaine), and heavy styling products for 3 to 5 days.
- 48 hr
Sun & scalp protection : avoid direct sun exposure on your scalp for at least 48 hours. Wear a clean, loose-fitting hat if you need to be outdoors.
